The RCBA Blood Lead Screening and Specimen Collection Training provides participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills for conducting blood lead screenings and collecting quality specimens. Training covers lead exposure and health risks, capillary and venous collection techniques, infection control, patient identification, specimen labeling, handling, transport, documentation, and error prevention. Participants who successfully complete the program receive an RCBA Training Institute Certificate of Completion.
This educational program does not authorize independent testing, diagnosis, or treatment. Participants must follow applicable state laws, laboratory procedures, employer policies, and scope-of-practice requirements.
